ISB: The ISB, Indian School of Business, at Hyderabad has seen exceptional success in an extraordinarily short time span and its flagship ISB Post Graduate Programme in Management has been an acclaimed success. The ISB PGPMAX – Post Graduate Programme for Senior Executives – is the new kid on the block for older gunslingers.
The ISB PGPMAX – Post Graduate Programme for Senior Executives – was launched towards the end of 2009 targeting senior executives with an average work experience of 10-25 years of “managerial experience”. Though the eligibility requirement is just 10 years of work experience the ISB is aiming at 15+ year profiles. The 15 month programme will consist of classroom sessions six days every six weeks, apart from a 2-week immersion session in USA and a one week session in Brazil.
ISB PGPMAX Class Profile: The ISB PGPMAX Class of 2011 had 66 students, 91% male and 9% female. The median age was 41 but mainly ranged between 35 to 49 years. Years of experience was an average of 18 years and mainly ranged from 13 to 25 years.
The first two ISB PGPMAX essays are the same as last year’s and take the more conventional approach that the ISB PGP essays too have been veering towards in recent years. The Significant Achievement and Goals essays give considerable scope for an impressive introduction. The third essay is a new addition that asks an extremely valid question and is an excellent replacement for the somewhat confusing third-person-perspective question last year.
